Photographic storyboard

By doing this, it has allowed me to now put my ideas into reality, and therefore have better knowledge of how my music video will actually look. This will also aid me to when I come to film and edit, as I will be able to now have a vague idea of how my locations, actors, costume, props and also lighting will look like on camera.


I have done this on my own, seeing how I have worked on my own, so I apologise in advance for the 'selfies' for some of the shots...

Although I would like to think that I'm organised, it turns out that I'm not...


Due to weather, actor availability etc... I was not able to film on the days that I would like to film, so I created another schedule which I followed stuck to...




29 October - Exterior shots, all cast Is called (12-4)

2 November- Interior shots, all cast Is needed (12-3)

Editing Schedule

By creating a  schedule for when I wish to edit, allows me to then dedicate time so then I am not rushing around last minute trying to create a decent piece of coursework in a couple of hours.


The list is as follows:

Tuesday 14th October- upload footage and piece together the narrative using my shot list

Tuesday 28th October- upload footage and add to already edited piece

Tuesday 11th October- upload footage and add the rest to my edited piece

*other editing dates will be subject to change due to the fact that I might *touch wood* have to re-film some shots due to bad framing etc..  *

Filming/blocking Schedule

In order to give myself enough time if needed to re-film and also with the editing of this music video, I have created a filming schedule in order to keep myself in order, so then I am up-to-date and on time with my filming/blocking. This also aids me with knowing what is going on with everything whilst filming (and before)


Auditions: 4th of October

Thursday 8th of October -  Blocking for shots 1-23 *Both characters are needed*

Friday 9th October - Interior shots of female *within the storyline her suicide, male not needed*

Saturday 11th October- Blocking for the entirety of location one *full cast*

Sunday 12 October - Filming of the entirety of location one  *full cast*

Saturday 25th October-  Blocking for the entirety of location two *full cast*

Sunday 26th October-  Filming of the entirety of location two *full cast*

Saturday 1st November-  Blocking for the entirety of location three *full cast*

Sunday 2nd November- Filming of the entirety of location three and pizza. *full cast + the pizza delivery guy*

Asking permission to use the song 'Bloodstains'

Here is the email that I have sent to the record label in order to ask their permission to use Passenger's song 'Bloodstains' which is track 11 on the album 'Flight of the crow.'

Digipack plan (two)

This is the second idea for my Digipack with design and also what style of fold I would like.

The inner design is a photo that I took myself, and the other three are from Google images.

 

 

Storyboard (draft)

This is my draft of a storyboard, these three pages are not all of the shots within my music video, but they are the most commonly used shots that are repeated, as most music videos do. Some shots within these storyboards are also iconic camera shots and movements that are possibly not repeated but are interesting shots, for example the tilt down her arm starts at her closing her eyes, and then tilts to reveal her arm which is covered in blood.

By doing this storyboard it will aid me to when I come to film my music video because I will now have an understanding on how the shots should look, and also in what direction I am going in regards to progress.
